Momus is an international online art publication and podcast that stresses "a return to art criticism" that is evaluative, accountable, and brave. Momus has attracted a wide readership over its first five years, and was shortlisted – twice – for the International Award for Art Criticism in 2016. Momus produces a podcast, named one of the top-ten art podcasts by The New York Times in March 2020. It also published its first print anthology, "Momus: A Return to Art Criticism Vol. 1 (2014-17)," which toured across Mexico, the US, and Canada. The Momus Emerging Critics Residency began in August 2019, in collaboration with Concordia University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and with the support of former US Ambassador to Canada, Vicki Heyman. Residencies are scheduled for Concordia University and OCAD University in Summer 2020.
