Melanie Janisse-Barlow

Melanie Janisse-Barlow is a poet and artist who also authors quirky interviews and paints the Poets Series Project. She has published in a variety of journals and anthologies across Canada and the US, and was nominated for the ReLit Award and Best American Essays. Thicket, her second poetry collection is forthcoming with Palimpsest Press on editor Jim Johnstone’s Anstruther Imprint. The Poets Series Project was recently featured in Taddle Creek Magazine and Poets and Writers. She lives between her home in Windsor and her wooden boat Kalinka in Toronto. Kalinka is the subject of a new memoir, currently underway.
