Clive Holden’s production includes digital paintings, software-based works for media lightboxes and projections, videos, and website artworks. Much of his work focuses on the frontier spaces between major art categories, uniting the worlds of time-based and non-time-based art forms. Holden often combines new digital ephemera with older lo-fi materials and tools, such as 2D and 3D objects, plus vintage photos or analog film loops. The works’ relationships highlight the charged spaces that we regularly traverse now, between the traditional visual art object, newer ephemeral and networked art forms, and the dynamic works of the post-cinema era.
