Summer Kim Lee and TJ Shin

Summer Kim Lee is an assistant professor of English at University of California, Los Angeles. Her first book, Spoiled: Asian American Hostility and the Damage of Repair (2025) is out with Duke University Press. Some of her other published work can be found in ASAP/Journal, Asia Art Archive, The New York Times Magazine, Post45, and Social Text. TJ Shin is an artist and writer based in Los Angeles. Their multimedia practice explores how structures of power discursively shape perception, form, and environment. Solo and two-person exhibition venues include Los Angeles State Historic Park, MIT List Visual Arts Center, Buffalo Institute of Contemporary Arts, and Lewis Center for the Arts. Their writing has appeared in Asia Art Archive, Mousse Magazine, and the Vera List Center for Art and Politics.
