Sarah Burke

Sarah Burke is an independent writer, editor, and curator based in Oakland, California and Brooklyn, New York. She was a recent writer-in-residence at the Museum of Capitalism and SFMOMA’s Open Space. Her work also appears in places such as KQED, The Washington Post, Broadly, Artsy, Hyperallergic; and Creators and the East Bay Express, of which she is the former Managing Editor. She is currently working on a short book about open-source creative resistance, continuing to co-curate the annual Oakland Book Festival, and pursuing her Master’s at NYU Steinhardt.
