Christina Catherine Martinez

Christina Catherine Martinez is a writer and comedian based in Los Angeles. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Vice, Artforum, ArtSlant, Border Crossings, Elephant, and The Art Book Review, as well as various anthologies and artist monographs. She is the Los Angeles editor of Foundations magazine. A finalist for the Andy Warhol/Creative Capital Grant for Art Writers in 2015 and winner of an inaugural Bar-Fund artist grant in 2018, she performs regularly in comedy clubs and art venues across North America. Her first book of essays, based on her ongoing comedy talk show Aesthetical Relations, is forthcoming from Hesse Press.
