Shreejaya Nair

Shreejaya Nair is an art journalist raised in Kochi, Kerala and has spent her life living in snippets, exploring culture across different parts of India like Chennai, Indore, Kolkata and elsewhere. Her work examines the intersection of art with power, cultural memory, identity, and politics. Her interests include representation, repatriation, and questions of who gets to narrate, preserve, possess, or erase culture.

She has spent over a decade writing about art and culture, with her work appearing in ARTnews, The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, The New Indian Express, and DT Next. She holds a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India.
