Adele D’Souza is a writer, editor, and researcher interested in exploring alternative modes of art writing and publishing. She graduated with a Master of Publishing and Communications from the University of Melbourne in 2022. Currently, she works as a Publishing Assistant at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, where her writing has been featured in NGV’s Triennial 2023 exhibition catalogue. Adele is also the founder and curator of counterpose archives, a resource-building project aimed at challenging the cultural hegemony in art publishing. Her practice seeks to decentralize the prevailing narratives that inform the arts, fostering new perspectives and critically reimagining the ways we think and write about art.
